At AV Tuition, we recognise our responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of all students who engage with our tuition services. Safeguarding is central to everything we do, and we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment, whether tuition takes place online or in person.
Purpose of this Policy
The purpose of this policy is to:
- Protect the young people who receive tuition from AV Tuition.
- Provide tutors, parents, and students with clear guidance on our safeguarding approach.
- Demonstrate our commitment to the highest standards of child protection in line with statutory guidance in the United Kingdom.
Scope
This policy applies to all staff, tutors, and students in relation with AV Tuition.
Our Commitment
AV Tuition will:
- Always act in the best interests of the student.
- Ensure that all tutors are appropriately vetted in safeguarding awareness.
- Provide a safe and positive environment where students feel respected and supported.
- Take all safeguarding concerns seriously and respond to them promptly and appropriately.
- Comply with relevant UK legislation and statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
Online Safety
- All online sessions are conducted using Google Meet, a secure and reputable platform.
- Tutors are expected to maintain professional standards at all times, including appropriate dress, language, and behaviour.
- No tuition session will be conducted without prior agreement with parents or guardians.
- Any safeguarding concerns arising during online tuition will be reported and addressed immediately.
Reporting Concerns
Any safeguarding concerns relating to a student’s welfare must be reported immediately by sending an email to info@avtuition.com. All concerns will be treated with the utmost seriousness and handled sensitively and appropriately.
Where necessary, concerns may be referred to external safeguarding bodies or local authorities. In cases of immediate danger, emergency services will be contacted without delay.
